First Dives, Big Smiles: Diving Programs for Children (Ages 8–9)
Introducing children to the underwater world is a truly special experience—and with our certified SSI children’s programs, it’s done with the utmost care, fun, and safety.
Bubblemaker Program (Age 8+)
This exciting introductory program takes about 3 to 4 hours and is perfect for kids who are eager to try scuba diving for the very first time. It begins with a brief theory session, followed by basic skills training in shallow water. The highlight: a real ocean dive of up to 40 minutes, with a maximum depth of 4 meters.
Each child is personally supervised by one of our professional instructors throughout the entire session. We usually explore the reef right in front of our dive center, but we also visit other calm and protected spots like Playa Las Vistas, Abades, or Alcalá—all ideal environments for young divers to safely discover Tenerife’s volcanic underwater landscape and colorful marine life.
Seal Team Program (Age 8+)
For kids who want to take it a step further, the Seal Team program offers a deeper introduction to diving skills. Spread over two days, this course includes practical exercises and simplified theory based on the Open Water Diver course. Children practice their skills at depths of up to 4 meters, always under close supervision.
After successfully completing the program, participants receive their personal diving logbook and are officially registered with SSI. If your child has already completed the Bubblemaker course, it can count as a credit toward Seal Team training.
Please note: A minimum of two participants is required for the Seal Team course.
