Abades Bay

Versatile Diving in Calm Waters

Abades is one of the most popular dive sites in Tenerife, yet thanks to its size and layout, you’ll rarely encounter other divers underwater. The site is located within a sheltered bay, offering calm conditions with minimal currents and no large waves—ideal for relaxed and safe dives.

This spot is perfect for all experience levels, from snorkelers and beginners to more advanced divers. The area features several reef structures between 6 and 20 meters deep, with steep walls, small caves, and plenty to explore.

A highlight of Abades is its extensive seagrass meadows, where turtles are frequently spotted in shallow water at around 3 to 5 meters. The site also hosts rays, trumpetfish, and occasional barracudas, making each dive rich in marine life and photographic opportunities.

Thanks to its easy access and variety, Abades is a favorite for training dives, underwater photographers, and anyone who enjoys peaceful, rewarding underwater exploration.
