Stingray Encounters in Front of Las Galletas
Located just off the harbor of Las Galletas, the Aquarium dive site is easily reached by a short boat ride and has quickly become one of the most popular dive sites in Tenerife. We usually anchor at around 12 to 15 meters, and from there descend gently to a nearby reef at about 22 meters depth.
What makes Aquarium truly special is its impressive population of rays. Over time, it has even overtaken the formerly better-known “Stingrays” site in this regard. Thanks to frequent feedings by both fishermen and divers, marine life here is unusually abundant and diverse.
Divers can expect close encounters with large Atlantic rays, stingrays, barracudas, moray eels, and a wide variety of reef fish. The animals are used to human presence, making this an ideal site for underwater photographers and anyone hoping for memorable wildlife encounters.
