Relaxed Diving in a Protected Bay
Just 10 km northeast of our dive center lies El Puertito, a small, protected bay with a sandy beach and a cozy beach bar—making it a great spot for a relaxed diving day. The site is easily reached by car, with parking close to the water and direct beach entry.
El Puertito is well suited for beginners, yet also popular among more experienced divers who appreciate its calm conditions and scenic underwater terrain.
While this site was once known for its resident turtles, they are now rarely seen. Still, the bay remains rich in marine life: you’ll often encounter moray eels, octopuses, and large schools of barracuda. With a bit of luck, there’s even the chance to see rays or angel sharks gliding along the sandy bottom.
Beneath the surface, you’ll explore a volcanic seascape typical of Tenerife, filled with crevices and structures that attract a wide variety of fish—making El Puertito a relaxing and rewarding dive for all levels.
