Natural Stone Wall and Rays over White Sand
Located about 25 km from our dive center, Tajao is a dive site we consider an absolute must-see. After a short drive by jeep or minibus, we reach a small beach and enter the water with ease.
Following a gentle swim over shallow ground, we reach a ledge at around 6 meters. From there, we descend gradually over a stony seabed, often accompanied by parrotfish and octopuses hiding among the rocks.
Soon, we arrive at a small but striking wall, dropping to about 12 meters. This natural stone formation runs along a bed of bright white sand, creating a sharp contrast and excellent visibility. The wall almost looks artificial in its symmetry—yet it’s all shaped by nature.
Look closely into the crevices and you may spot the eyes of moray eels or resting octopuses. With a bit of luck, large Atlantic rays will glide silently along the wall, often coming remarkably close to divers.
Tajao offers a calm, scenic dive with memorable encounters—perfect for those who enjoy unique topography and rewarding observation.
